The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, APAC (Sales and Marketing), this pivotal role is based in Sydney, Australia (Hybrid) with a focus on both helping to grow and nurture the existing base of regional clients to an exciting new level by winning new mid-tier multinational clients across all cycle phases of our SD-WAN service offering (Assess > Deploy > Manage > Optimize), with the majority of the focus being in the Assess and Optimise phases.
The successful candidate will be critical in driving our growth strategy and managing key client relationships across the APAC region. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven business development and account management track record.
Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the APAC region.
- Build a pipeline of new logo opportunities in line with the company’s target market.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the technical pre-sales (Technical Consultants) to ensure client buy-in.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and networking and drive internally through our ISR team.
- Engage vendor partners to gain access to new leads and opportunities as a highly skilled partner.
- Create customised deal models based on client’s needs.
Account Management:
- You will find business opportunities, manage the sales cycle, and sustain ongoing client relationships.
- Understand clients’ business needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
- Serve as the key point of contact for clients, addressing any commercial topics promptly and effectively.
- Proactively map the account portfolio to identify the best opportunities for growth by upselling, cross-selling and new service offerings.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and project execution, and proactively work closely with and seek advice from our Technical Consultants.
- Work with the Client Experience team to ensure renewals are proactively addressed with Client Experience completing initial renewal activities and the Sales and Account Director responsible for engaging and negotiating with the client.
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive client engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with your Team to align business development initiatives with company goals.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to inform strategy.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and account status.
- Use Salesforce and other tools to track and manage sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions.
- Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for action
Skills and Experience
- 4+ years of relatable experience.
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies quickly and interact with third parties.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the APAC OR ASEAN market dynamics and business culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication (including negotiation, and presentation skills).
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Some broad IT&T industry experience is desired, but not essential.
- Knowledge of the following technologies. Hands-on experience desired but not essential:
– Network and security solutions within the broader IT stack.
– WAN designs (MPLS / Internet etc.).
– Network and Application Performance Management concepts and tools.
– Security considerations and concepts.
– Cloud delivery, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts and services. - Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, multi-cloud networking and other next-generation network technologies is a bonus but not essential.
- Experience creating deal models.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proficient in CRM software, including Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ownership by taking responsibility and accountability and takes pride in their work.
- Some flexibility in working hours is required for collaboration with our global team and sales-focused activities.
- Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required.

A tertiary qualification is desired in business or marketing is desired, but it is not essential.
